Hello! I’m Jane Zhdanova, an enthusiastic internet marketer and fashion lover. As a marketer, I’m curious about how fashion brands and ecommerce companies incorporate new tools and trends into web marketing. As a consumer, I’m fascinated with the way the fashion industry is changing to incorporate technology. So I decided to combine my two passions in this blog–new technologies and business and marketing trends in the fashion industry.
Why internet marketing?
When I began working in marketing, I quickly realized that the internet has changed the rules. Customers now work hand-in-hand with companies by sharing product reviews, using social networks as a forum, and providing feedback about product features and quality. At one time, television ads played a large role in determining consumers’ buying trends. Today, shoppers rely on the internet to provide them with informative product reviews and to select the best buying options.
That’s why I love the idea of inbound marketing–companies can grab the audience’s attention by educating people about their products. This can include providing an engaging website experience, or even sharing valuable information through blogs, videos, eBooks, whitepapers, e-newsletters, etc. Companies can convert new clients into long-term customers, or even “brand ambassadors,” by interacting with their audience through social media.
This is the future of marketing.
Why marketing in fashion?
Simply put, I love fashion. As a consumer, I want the best experience. I want the fashion industry to be revamped using new technologies, allowing it to cope better with new internet marketing trends.
